A possible interpretation of the difference between the d(p, 2p)n and d(p, pn)p cross-sections

Abstract

We show that the cross-section difference between the reactions d(p, 2p)n and d(p, pn)p for small momentum transfer can be interpreted by means of a polar graph if we do not take the same pole value for the two reactions; this possibility being allowed by the theory.
