The self consistent RPA in a many level pairing model

Abstract

The equidistant multilevel pairing model with degeneracy two is solved in the symmetry unbroken phase within the SCRPA approach.Close agreement with the exact solution is found in spite of the fact that no sign of the phase transition simulated by the break-down of standard RPA survives due to strong quantum fluctuations in this quasi one dimensional model.
